Welcome to the best and oldest Lyngen horse stud farm in Tromsø.
At our farm you will be able to meet mares with foals, virile stallions and playful youngsters.
The Lyngshorse belongs to this part of the world and have been here for centuries – it has been shaped by the midnight sun during the summer months and the northern lights during the winter months.. It is now a part of the Northern Norwegian cultural heritage.
This particular breed is versatile, friendly and beautiful – and it charms everybody that gets to know it.
During our farm visit you will learn a lot about the history and different uses of the horses throughout the ages, and how it was saved during WWII.
If weather conditions permit it, you will be able to ride the horses. It is an advantage if you have some riding experience, particularly knowing the start, stop and swing functions. Children must be over the age of 10 and need parental supervision.
The weight limit is 95 kg.
